Looking Out From the Garage: Some days, you should just stay home...

Some days, you should just stay home...

I ran across this video the other day, and I just couldn't move past it.  I'm under the weather, the kids are just starting to peek out, and Mrs. GarageGuy is holding tough, but not feeling well.  After watching this, my first thought was that every once in a while, the best plan is to NOT get out of bed in the morning.

I'm going to sleep in tomorrow while the wife and kids go to the circus.  Hopefully I'll be ready for snow on Sunday...  But NO forklift driving for me.

That's pretty horrible! Who had to clean up that mess?

Hi Lane~ How incredible is that? Looks like the load was way too wide and he definitely used poor judgment on that !

That is horrible - but funny too! At first it was so slow I thought nothing was going to happen......

Wow.  Would have liked to be a fly on the wall after that.

I had to watch it twice.  The first time I was not sure if the person made it out of the folklift okay.  I'm guessing there may be an opening at that warehouse you think?  ~ Kim

Ugh! I wouldn't want to be that employee! Reminds me of when I use to work for Hertz Rent-a-car and rented a car and later thought they were going to steal it. Told my Manager, and was ready to get the kick....He asked..."Did you follow all the procedures?" Yes, I said. That's what we have insurance for.

Awwwwwww man that was crazy. I don't know how the guy did not get crushed. He made it out in just the nick of time. I think I will play this video whenever I think I am having a bad day. I have to remind myself that hey I could have heavy pallets falling me instead, lol.

You are right.  You should just stay at home some days.  I am glad my day did not turn into this.  Thank you for sharing and I wish you the best.

Thanks for the comments everyone.  I think that someone wishes they could have left the jobsite in an ambulance... with just minor injuries...  It would be safer than being there.
