It has been quite a while since I hit the World of Wheels car show. I have been going to them off and on for 30 years. I have only made it a few times here in Atlanta. 
Of course you can expect a bunch of pictures... maybe a video or two. I am actually pretty jazzed this year. And there is good reason... The kids are going. My best friend is bringing his two boys (aged 4 and 2) along with my 4 year old and I. For all of the boys it will be their first "big time" car show. All of them have been to local cruise-ins. And each of them has been excited to see the cool rides... but this is a slightly different level.
Even if you aren't a car junkie (or the child of one...), you NEED to hit one of thse shows every once in a while. Design trends, interesting people, 3rd tier celebrities, cool cars and BMX freestyle... they always have something like that. The last time I went it was go kart racing featuring kids running mini-midget sprint style cars... they were around 7 years old or so.
The World of Wheels is taking place at the world Congress Center across from Philips Arena and the Georgia Dome Friday 3-10, Saturday 11-10 and Sunday 11-7... January 16-18, 2009.

Lane, I have been taking my boys forever to car shows .....and my daughter.... It is just great when you take them to the biggest and best around....we do the mopar nats in Columbus Ohio and they go nuts every time....wish I could get down there for that....post some pics and have fun...I'm sure your boy will.....peace zane
