Looking Out From the Garage: Just a few political videos...

Just a few political videos...

I just couldn't help myself.  After seeing the polls, and the reports... and knowing that so much is missing from much of the coverage...

The videos all together take about 10 minutes. And as a collection, they are pretty powerful.  Do they say that McCain did everything that possibly could have been done?  No, I'm sure that he could have introduces another bill in the Senate.  I'm sure that he could have pressed harder.

The point is to simply state... emphatically... that the GOP introduced legislation to try to reign in Fannie and Freddie.  The President also tried to stop the use of the Community Reinvestment Act to force banks into giving loans that were unsound... but that was also defeated along party line votes, multiple times.

Some of these events happened prior to Obama's entry to the Senate in 2005... some after.  But to say that the GOP and John McCain were asleep at the switch is incredibly false.  In reality, the Democrats, including Obama blocks attempts by Bush, the GOP and McCain to take actions that might have thwarted this crisis before it started.

Why isn't NBC reporting that?

I don't think the current administration did enough and both candidate's were part of the problem. I don't trust any of them in the process of trying to bail us out they will talk about it spend enormous amounts of money and if they don't put regulations in place we are only delaying a bigger problem in the future.

OH, to be the first to comment here!!  This type of coverage is all we're EVER going to get, my friend!  The blatant omissions and incredibly distorted presentations are simply unbelievable and should be illegal!  One wonders how these folks sleep at night or are they just that 'brainwashed' and don't realize how unethical and outrageous their behavior really is?!  We just have to spred the word (the REAL word, that is) and hope that we can shake some of these followers out of their delusional states!

I think it is pretty well known that NBC is a totally skewed media source and not at all unbiased. Thanks for standing up for McCain et al. I think we need more grass roots promotion of these facts in order to battle the liberal biased media.

Terry - I think that there is enough blame to go around, but blocking something and then saying that the other guy didn't even try is pretty disingenuous.

Debe - The choir will look at this, but the people that don't agree won't stick around to watch.

James - You are welcome.

Lisa - It isn't just NBC... I just had to toss one of the networks to the dogs.

Lane ~ To see Chuck Schumer and Barnie Frank here in videos and defending themselves is disgusting. They should be under investigation as well as Christopher Dodd and Obama with ACORN.

Lane, So, maybe what we should be doing is (a) limiting terms, (b) reforming campaign financing and (c) voting against incumbents. It is fairly obvious that the system corrupts and corrupts completely. So why don't we support third parties?

Bill ~ I am shocked I agree with you on this one. Good job.

Nicholas - Democrats NEVER investigate their own. Besides, I think that the only real issue is that they are lying like a bunch of rugs.  That isn't against the law, or Washington would be a prison camp.  They didn't know that what THEY were doing with the financial system a few years ago would lead to this.  But, blaming others for their policies IS disgusting.

Bill - I go back and forth on a and c... b needs some attention.

Well I wish I'd stopped by this post while that video was still available.  Not that I need to see it to know that NBC doesn't report anything other than their view.

Tammy - I guess CNN isn't as secure in their coverage as Fox...
