I am cleaning up my blog... and it is really not fun. I am making a few changes to the old posts, basically cleaning up the tags and adding "Read More" tags. Boring...
But, it is also forcing me to look at old posts.
One of those posts was this... and that brings me to the point of my post.
A little over a year ago, I made a bold prediction. It was back in the days when I didn't really even get that many comments on my A|R blog. So, there wasn't anyone to hold my feet to the fire. Not so much now. Plenty of people really enjoy lighting my pants on fire when I'm not right...
Read the old post, and have at it. Or you could read the A|R version...

Good reminder to review my blogs. Hey can I borrow your crystal ball?
Hi Lane,
Been trying to do the same thing myself. Especially those that have the most hits, increasing my Google juice.
Last time I did that it took weeks.....I think I have another job in front of me :)
BethAnn - Sure... it has some cracks.
Lynda - Not fun, huh?
Sally - Yee haa..
GOOD FOR YOU! It take a long time making your blog attractive and clean. I am still in the process of sprucing mine up myself. Thanks for the reminder!
Lane, Can you recommend a good blog for the most effective tags? What does the "read more" do?
Lynn - Go to my LaneBailey.com blog to see what the Read More tags do. It shows part of the post and then the reader can choose to see the rest of it. It makes for less scrolling on the page.
As far as content tagging... that is a tough one. Basically, if you look on the right side of the screen you will see my tags. A reader can click to see more about that general subject. You need to be specific enough that the reader can find relevent posts... and general enough that there aren't 2000 tags. They really don't affect the search engines.
It has been so long since I changed the settings of my blog on activerain that I can't remember where I can change the header and colors? Technology ?!?!!!???%%*** I hope there's light at the "end of the tunnel" - or should I say pier ?
Pam - Customize? ;^ )
