Are you a car person? Do you know what a 220V outlet is, and why someone might want three in the garage? Can you recognize an epoxy coated garage floor, racedeck, or acid stained concrete... and know the strengths and weaknesses of each?
In preparation for the launch of my new website, and the advertising that will go along with the official launch, I want to know that there are some agents out there that would like referrals that may come along. Of course, I also want to know that when I send a garage loving client, that you will know what they are looking for, and how to help them.
Back in my "pre-real estate" life, I bought a couple of houses. I was always frustrated with real estate agents that knew nothing about garages. As far as they seemed to be concerned, they were a place to park lawn equipment...
Just as there are equestrian specialists and golf specialists, I felt there was a need for agents that were auto enthusiasts to help their fellow enthusiasts.
If you want to be on my list, let me know...

What a great way to niche yourself, Lane - The Realtor for Car People! How long have you focused on this niche? Is it working well for you?
Daniel - I used to do a little woodworking in my garage... I know what you are talking about.
LaShon - I am just working on getting this off the ground. We'll see how it goes. So far, a good percentage of my transactions have been due to the car connection.
Thanks all. I'm making my list... and checking it twice.
Gita, my mother can only tell me the color of a car... and she isn't that accurate about that. She can barely pick out a Jeep. The shame...
I wish I could say that I have a lot of toys in my basement. Unfortunately, life style changes, as well as divorce and children in college have me in a house with a standard 2 car garage, 2 infiniti g35 sedans, and barely room for a toolbox. Next year's goal is for a home with a full basement, to be slowly filled with the toys I truly love. Here is my wishlist for today. a mid 80's 911 targa, a 1966 mustang gt fastback 289 4 speed, and I want to replace my Triumph TR6 that was hit head-on by an unlicensed driver with no insurance. Don't plan to do that again, it hurt. By the way, my new wife wants these cars as much as I do. I am a lucky man.
Add me to your list. I cover the Brentwood, Franklin, Spring Hill areas of Middle Tennessee.
My garage consists of:
1976 Harley Davidson Shovelhead, best of show winner at many shows
2002 Harley Davidson Electra Glide, all go and no show.
Larry - You'd have liked my third Mustang... 1965 GT350. I dated a girl whose Dad told me I could take his 911 for taking her out (ok, she was a nerd, but hot... she didn't date much, and her Dad was worried). My only Triumphs have been Spitfires.
Jeff - I want a Kawasaki Vulcan Drifter... I really want an Indian Chief, but the Vulcan Drifter is more in line wit my pricing.
Larry - I'm that way with Sport Bikes... I am mature enough to know that I am not mature enough...
That Shelby still makes me sweat. But, I think my wife's minivan handles almost as good... but it can never make that sound. I'd love to build a clone from something less desirable, like a 6 cyl. car... and then make it a serious resto-mod. Go fuel injection, 5 or 6 speed, update the suspension, etc.
Ok, so I am a few years late it seems by the last post, hope you are still out there. Of course I know how important it is to have a 220 outlet. I grew up going to the National Street Rod Convention for almost every summer vacation. I have been to more junk yards I am sure than any other agent in our office. So not only is garage space important, but RV parking as well so you have someplace to store those projects. Anyway, as it turned out, my street rod background would come to a screeching halt as I married into a "restorer" family. goodbye V8 hello, in line four. goodbye power hello puckity puckity puckity. I now have a restored 27 model T, and a restored 31 Model A, and my 65 mustang convertible thats mostly original. I rebuild the carburators, do all the wiring, sandblast the smaller parts... My husband knows if he just mentions he is thinking about doing any wiring I just jump in.
thanks,
