As one door closes, another opens in its place.
As I started to look over upcoming events, I ran across a blurb that the Snellville Days 'Orphan Vehicle Association' Car Show had been canceled due to "unforeseen circumstances." I have no idea what those circumstances might be, and I hope that the OVA is able to recover and present the show again next year.
But, as a car guy looking for someplace to take the boys, I ran across a replacement. Smoke Rise Baptist Church has been holding a Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show since 1999. And the date this year for the show is May 2nd.
Registration begins at 9:00am. Judging begins at Noon. Trophies will be presented at 3:00pm.
I know that I will be there early... we have a T-ball game at the church at 9:30. We will probably come back later in the day to shoot more pictures.

Looks like he is ready to jump in a polish some chrome.
Wow...Lane...that is strange indeed? There was usually a festival with the show as well. I've attended it a couple times with my former car club and with the Buick!
speaking of.....one of these days I need to get it running and sell it. I think my days of old cars are over! Ready for something with less problems....
Terry - I don't know about that... But if I could teach him to wax...
Thom - Just a little work and it could be trouble free again...
I hate when car shows get canceled (maybe hate is to strong a word) dislike maybe more appropriate....anyway ..well have fun at the other one and get some good photos for us ...peace zane
Zane - At least there is another one the same day... and free...
