It is still six months away, but that doesn't mean it isn't time to start thinking about it. Time has a way of creeping up on us. The date for the 2009 event is March 20th.
The inaguaral event was put together in just a couple of weeks, mostly by Brad Nix and Matt Fagioli. In those few weeks they managed to put together the coolest collection of technology sessions in the area. THE heavy hitters of technology in real estate made the trip. The people whose blogs you read and who you work to glean bits of information from were right there... up close and personal.

As I said, the list isn't exhaustive, there were many other speakers.
This time, with almost a year of planning, Matt and Brad will be putting on a show. Instead of a hotel ballroom, this time we will beholding the event at the Cobb Galleria to allow more elbow room. There is space for as many as 500 attending agents. In the southeast, this is THE conference to attend. I'm not just saying that because I work for Diamond Dwellings Realty... a presenting sponsor. I went to last year's event on my own, before joining one of the most progressive brokerages in the region.
I'll be excited to find out who will be making it to the event to speak. I know that Matt talked with a few people at Inman, and a few more at NAR... he'll likely hit some more at Inman in NYC. Expect to see even more presenters this year.
One other VERY important thing... If you are reading this, you are likely already an agent that is using web 2.0 and technology more than the average agent. We really need to get the word out to those that WANT to be on the leading edge of technology. Don't worry... Atlanta and the southeast won't be overrun with butt-kickin' agents. We only have room for 500 agents, and there are close to 40,000 agents in Atlanta alone. Frankly, we can all help each other out, and still dominate our markets.
Mark your calendar for March 20th, 2009. Get ready to learn... get ready to teach... get ready to break the mold.
