Ok, so a few weeks ago I wrote a post called The Greatest name in racing you never heard... It was about a guy by the name of Smokey Yunick.
The post was an excuse to talk about a fairly unsung legend in stock car racing, as well as Indy cars. But, there was also a great lesson in branding that Smokey had to teach. If you are curious about that... read the post.
But the cool part was this. Today, Smokey's son, Sam left a comment thanking me for writing the kind words about his Dad. I am honored that he stopped by, and more honored that he enjoyed the post enough to comment.
And, there is a lesson in this as well. Active Rain has a LOT of Google power. And we have NO idea who might be looking over our posts.
