So, I was reading Bloodhound Blog a few days ago, and Greg Swann mentioned that he has started using Obeo for their virtual tour solutions. The virtual tours aren't the star of the show, though. The stars of the show are the interactive floor plans and the virtual decorator.
Virtual tours are a dime a dozen. Everyone and their cousin offers some type of virtual tour. They range from the "basically a powerpoint" to slide show with music and/or voice-over. Of course there are the video tours and glide tours. None of the video presentations seem to me to have the impact of really good still photos.
There are even a few agents that post floor plans to their listings. But, how cool would it be for a would be buyer to drop their furniture into the floor-plan and move it around. If the sample furniture isn't the right size, it can be adjusted (for what it is worth, my furniture seemed to have reasonable matches).
And, as if that weren't cool enough, a would be buyer could pull up a few different scenes from the interior or exterior... and start redecorating. Paint the walls a different color. Change the floor to hardwoods or tile or carpet. Paint the outside.
How cool is that?
As soon as I get a fresh listing, I'm going to have to try this out...
They even have a motorcycle and some cars to drop into the interactive garage...
